A Korean Adventure in Busan – Video

After a year of living in Korea, we had some wonderful guests, Rob’s family. For 10 days we explored the city, and ate delicious food. We timed their visit to coincide with Buddha’s Birthday, which is great to experience in Korea. Rob made a short video of our great Korean adventure. It’s a great example of what you can do in Busan during ten days., not included in the video is Taejongdae, also a great place to visit.

May is one of the best times to visit Korea. Summer is just starting, lovely warm days without it being too hot. It’s great for hanging out on the beach and setting off fireworks. May also includes one of my favourite holidays from Korea, Buddha’s Birthday. Lanterns decorate the temples, and as the sun goes down they light up and illuminate the city.

We were lucky enough in Busan, to have an abundance of great temples near by. We managed to make it to two of my favourites, Samgwangsa Temple (삼광사) and Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (해동 용궁사). They have one of the best lanterns displays we have seen and 2015 was a great year.

Enjoy the Video from Busan, Korea!

Thank you to our family, for making it all the way to Korea to see us!
